What is non-medical companionship?
Companionship focuses on spending time together. It can mean listening to stories, watching a favorite show, playing a game or enjoying an outing. Neighborly Companions plans visits around the person rather than assuming everyone wants the same activity.
Who might enjoy a companion?
An independent senior with quiet afternoons, an adult who enjoys shared activities or a family hoping for more regular social contact may find companionship useful. The person receiving visits should have a say in the schedule and activities.
Activities we discuss
- Conversation and coffee.
- Shows, cards, puzzles and hobbies.
- Walks and social outings.
- Friendly company for errands and appointments.
How companionship differs from healthcare
We provide social companionship, not nursing or medical treatment. We do not replace home health professionals. Describe the support you need before booking so we can discuss whether the service fits and clarify expectations.
Keeping families connected
Every monthly plan includes a family video call during each visit. We talk about interests, routines and communication preferences when getting acquainted.
Visits, plans and locations
Each visit lasts two hours, with monthly plans from $425. Compare the available plans. Sun City, Goodyear and the Phoenix West Valley are included in our service-area guide. Availability and any transportation or outing costs are confirmed before booking.
Start with a conversation.
Tell Trish who the visits are for, where they will take place, and what would make the day more enjoyable. We’ll discuss interests, availability and any additional outing or transportation costs before booking.
